seangares to take on new role in 2019
Former Cloud9 in-game leader Sean "seangares" Gares had previously talked on HLTV Confirmed about several top teams approaching him regarding a coaching position.
On Christmas Day, the player/analyst revealed that he will indeed be taking on a new role next year — father. He and his wife Jena are expecting a baby girl in summer (break out the tank tops.)
seangares last played for Misfits in January of 2018, when the team finished 19th-21st at the ELEAGUE Major Boston, in the midst of dubious circumstances with their organization. Since then, he has occupied himself by appearing on several analyst desks, as well as playing ESEA MDL Season 29 with Old Guys Club.
After the team's season concluded with a loss to Swole Patrol, they found themselves in the IEM Katowice 2019 Americas Minor Closed Qualifier, sporting a roster also featuring Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham and Mike "shroud" Grzesiek. After falling to the lower bracket, the team ultimately forfeit their match against oNe, due to not being able to play the following match because of shroud's sponsorship obligations.
