stanislaw stepped up for compLexity

compLexity advance past oNe in StarSeries qualifier playoffs

They'll take on either Envy or Luminosity in the semifinals.

Another quarterfinal matchup for the StarSeries i-League Season 7 qualifier has concluded, with compLexity defeating oNe 2-1 (16-14 Mirage, 14-16 Inferno, 16-10 Cache) to net themselves a spot in the semifinals alongside FURIA and Rogue.

compLexity kicked off their own pick of Cache with three rounds off the back of a pistol victory, quickly resetting oNe after the Brazilians picked up their first round to blaze their way up to an 8-1 lead. Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and co. were unable to keep the momentum up however, and oNe battled back for five of the final six rounds of the half for a 9-6 scoreline.

The Brazilians grabbed the first four rounds of the second half for themselves before giving compLexity a taste of their own medicine with an early economic reset after the North Americans picked up their first round. Another trio of rounds went to oNe before compLexity battled back for one of their own, but oNe once again reset the compLexity economy to put themselves in touching distance of a map win at 14-11. Not to be outdone, stanislaw helped his team get back on the board to take five rounds straight and snatch away the map win from oNe 16-14.

oNe managed another pistol round victory to kick off Inferno, but found themselves trailing in the middle of the half to compLexity, who garnered seven rounds to oNe's three. The Brazilians rallied back to take the final five rounds of the half for themselves, continuing their momentum into the second half with another four round wins to take the lead 12-7.

This time it was compLexity who reached fourteen rounds first, snagging three rounds before resetting oNe for an additional quartet. Much like compLexity did on Mirage, oNe fought back for the final trio of rounds in the map to narrowly edge out the win 16-14, taking the series to the deciding map of Cache.

oNe took their fourth pistol round of the series on Cache to grab a 2-0 lead, but compLexity were quick to get themselves on the board as they put up six rounds in reply. The two teams traded rounds back-and-forth, with oNe emerging on top to secure four of the remaining five rounds in the half to trail by a single round at halftime.

Yet another pistol round went the way of oNe, allowing them to pull ahead 9-8 before compLexity regained the lead with two rounds of their own. oNe once again tied up the game, but were immediately reset as Rory "dephh" Jackson and stanislaw combined to grant compLexity six rounds in a row, closing out the map 16-10 in their favor.
