oNe and Bravado claim final Minor spots

Following dominant series, oNe more Brazilian squad and a South African team will claim the final Americas Minor spots.

The final day of the IEM Katowice Americas Minor Closed Qualifier has ended, with oNe and Bravado claiming the last two spots.

The day started off with oNe claiming the first of the two remaining spots after a quick 2-0 victory over Swole Patrol. Inferno started off in dominant fashion for the Brazilian side, with the team claiming 11 rounds on their T side. oNe would close out Inferno with a strong 9-16 finish, however, not without a strong opposition from Edgar "MarKE" Jimenez who closed out the map with a 1.22 rating and 101.3 ADR.

Map two was once again fairly one-sided , with oNe closing out Train 11-16 which saw the team again claim 11 rounds on their opening side.  Over the course of both maps, Pedro "Maluk3" was an absolutely dominant force, maintaining a 1.43 rating, greatly outpacing the efforts of Swole Patrol's top performer, MarKE, who was still able to maintain a noteworthy 1.16 rating.

The other match of the day was far more hotly contested, with South African team Bravado eventually overcoming Test Takers in a 2-1 victory.

After the first map a complete blowout for Bravado, the series was expected to promptly go in their favor. However, due to the individual heroics of Peter "ptr" Gurney, who absolutely dominated on Dust 2, Test Takers were able to force the South Africans to a third map.

However, the third map was far less close, with Bravado rolling over Test Takers 16-7 primarily due to a stellar performance by Dimitri "Detrony" Hadjipaschali who shut down Test Takers with an impressive 25-9 K/D ratio.

As such, the final team list for the IEM Katowice Americas Minor is as follows:

United States Envy United States eUnited
Brazil FURIA Brazil Imperial
Brazil INTZ United States NRG
Brazil oNe Bravado

The Americas Minor is set to take place on January 22nd in Katowice, and will see the 8 teams present fighting for 2 direct spots into the New Challengers stage along with the newly established Minors' Third Place Play-In.

Dust2 Birthday cake!
That second map for Bravado spooked me, but glad they got thru.

So many brazilians at the Americas minor. And with this field, NRG has no excuse not to make it. The second team that goes thru would be interesting to see.
