vanity and Singularity didn't make Pro, but they are still making waves in Dallas

vanity: "Nerves got the best of us on the second day"

The usually brash Singularity member was succinct and to the point when we chatted with him in Dallas.

Collin "CarbonDogma" Davis caught up with Singularity's Anthony "vanity" Malaspina in Dallas, to talk about his teams showing at the event so far. The two also talked about previous roster changes for the team, upsetting Rogue, and missing out at their chance for an ESL Pro League spot.

I wanted to start by going back a little bit about your roster change when you got rid of ben1337 and brought in food. Was there a particular reason behind it and do you think it paid off?

It was personality conflicts and not really being confident in his leading style. I think it's paid off.

How has it been being signed by Singularity who is an EU org and have had Danish/Swedish teams?

It's by far the most supportive org I think I've ever been under, so it's really nice to see. The time zone thing is a bit weird, but you get used to it.

Here in Relegation, you guys beat Rogue in the first round. Did you expect that and how did it feel to beat them?

We definitely expected it. We came in really confident. I think the nerves got the best of us on the second day. Happens at all of our previous LANs.

After not qualifying for EPL, did you think it was really disappointing in the end?

I mean yeah it's disappointing but it's not completely unexpected because we're all so inexperienced.

You're playing Virtus.pro first. What are your expectations for that game?

I just think it would be cool to beat pasha and NEO because they're legends of CS. I expect to win.

For the event as a whole, what are you guys looking to get?

At least make it out of groups.

For the future - next season, what does it look like for Singularity?

It's looking good, we've been putting in a lot of work. I don't think we're planning on stopping because we have a lot of stuff coming up: the Minor, StarLadder, NSG $30K.

vanity and Singularity have achieved his goal of making it out of groups, and will play the Frenchmen of 3DMAX later today, at approximately 3:30 PM EST.
