NRG to SuperNova Malta playoffs over Virtus.pro
The group stage of SuperNova Malta 2018 has finished, with NRG and BIG securing the final two playoff spots after defeating Virtus.pro and TYLOO in their respective decider matches.
NRG's match against the Poles went to Inferno, Cache, and Nuke, with the first map being NRG's pick. Virtus.pro held the lead early on in the map, but ended up trailing 6-9 at the half. Ethan "nahtE" Arnold was the key player for NRG this map, with the NA side putting up a strong Terrorist side to close out Inferno 16-11.
VP was not able to get any CT side rolling on Cache, only able to put up 5 to NRG's 10. The scoreboard leader this time was Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte, whose consistency led to 102 ADR in the map's 23 rounds. The straightforward map ended up as a 16-7 victory, leading to a 2-0 NRG win.

The other group saw BIG absolutely smash TYLOO on two maps, with the Asian team only picking up three rounds over two maps.
The playoffs, which are set to begin tomorrow, will pit NRG against HellRaisers at 10:30 AM EST and Liquid against BIG at 2:00 PM EST. The winners will move on to the grand final, while the losers will play in a third place decider.
