Changes come in for Iceberg, ex-Morior Invictus

The MDL season had not even officially ended before these teams made changes.

ex-Morior Invictus and Iceberg Esports both ended their ESEA MDL seasons with respectable 8-8 records. The .500 win rate was enough to secure both teams spots in the next season of the league, but not enough to earn either a spot in the upcoming playoffs.

John "crux" Cogal of Iceberg announced the first move, with Duncan "raz" Lee quickly adding that he would be looking for a team for the upcoming MDL season:

Iceberg could not be reached for comment on the reason behind Lee's removal, their roster is now:

  • Canada John "crux" Cogal
  • United States Brenden "stellar" McGrath
  • United States Nick "alter" Jackson
  • Canada Warren "hades" Rettich

The second move was not announced by ex-Morior Invictus, but rather made apparent through their ESEA page. When contacted by Dust2.us, team captain Alex "lanhero" Suarez confirmed that Gabe "Spongey" Greiner had "moved on to pursue new opportunities."

The roster of ex-Morior Invictus is now:

  • Alex "lanhero" Suarez
  • Canada Danny "huynh" Huynh
  • United States Daniel "tropiiical" Elshani
  • United States Michael "orbit" Faulkner

The move did not seem to impact ex-Morior in the short-term, as the team were able to win their last match of the season, fielding Bushido Boyz' Blake "Strings" Stringer as their fifth.

Spongey was vital to Ex-morior. Wonder if Strings is here to stay.
