Cooper- will don the white, blue, and red jersey with eUnited going forward

eUnited confirm Cooper- addition; Ace loaned to Swole Patrol; motm gets blindsided

Just when you thought everything was going well for motm.

Six hours after our initial report on Austin "Cooper-" Abadir's plans to sign with eUnited, the organization has confirmed the addition of the player to their active roster.

There was no mention of Skyler "Relyks" Weaver, who our report named as the person on the active eUnited roster to be replaced. With eUnited's roster now completed, Swole Patrol will be rounding out their own roster with Ace, as the player has been loaned to the team for the remainder of ESEA MDL Season 29.

eUnited General Manager Daniel "clerkie" Clerke explained the reasoning behind the loan on Twitter, stating that the organization were unaware there would be backlash from Swole Patrol members around Cooper- departing. In what clerkie considers the "best solution to a bad situation," they've loaned Ace to the MDL team to help them complete the season and to undo some of the damage caused by Cooper-'s departure.

While this seems like a happy ending, Ian "motm" Hardy has been left out of the loop. The player previously left Vision after being offered a spot on the Swole Patrol. With eUnited now loaning Ace to the team for Season 29, Swole Patrol did not seek motm's services any further, insisting that Ace would more easily replace Cooper- due to his AWPing ability.

The 19-year-old player has had a turbulent season so far: first being cut from AZIO in favor of Logan "Voltage" Long, then joining Vision as a stand-in before being cut and later readded to the roster, and finally finding an opportunity to play with Swole Patrol before Ace was brought in on loan. The player is now left without a team, with Vision also deciding to move on without him.

eUnited's bulked up roster is presumed to be:

  • Canada Kaleb "moose" Jayne
  • United States Will "dazzLe" Loafman
  • United States Michael "dapr" Gulino
  • Canada Pujan "FNS" Mehta
  • United States Austin "Cooper-" Abadir
  • United States Jared "osorandom" Hartman (Coach)
  • United States Brandon "Ace" Winn (On loan to Swole Patrol)
  • United States Skyler "Relyks" Weaver (Inactive)

Swole Patrol's roster is now:

  • United States Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir
  • United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
  • United States Braxton "swag" Pierce
  • Mexico Edgar "MarKE" Jimenez
  • United States Brandon "Ace" Winn (On loan)

While Swole Patrol continue to have Pro League aspirations, with Ace on loan only for the duration of the season and Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir announcing his intentions to leave after this season, as of now the team will have to rebuild next season with two of their core players gone.

In the current season however, the team remain undefeated with a 8-0 record. They are set to take on Excelerate later today at 10 PM EDT, with matches against Bravado and Mythic scheduled for tomorrow.

eUnited look to clinch a spot for the EPL Season 8 Finals, as they are currently 9-11 in the regular season. While the team are unable to qualify for the ECS Season 6 Finals, due to their current 5-9 record, eUnited are set to play at IEM Chicago next week. Our earlier report stated that the team intended to attend with Relyks, but it is unknown if those plans have now changed.
