ex-Fam143 start to Think Outside the Box; overhaul roster

Three players join as only draek remains playing for the team long-term.

The former Fam143 roster, Think Outside the Box, have made a number of changes to their team. For a start, it seems that only Ahsan "draek" Ismailzadah will be remaining with the team.

Both Alex "lanhero" Suarez and Caleb "jaychancE" Davis are currently not playing with the team, with the former Vision IGL having played some matches with Final Feature, and the latter posting an ESEA recruitment ad. Justin "NEX" McLellan remains playing matches with the squad, but looks to once again transfer to a coaching and  managerial role.

The new additions to the team are threefold. First up sees former Glockoma duo Justin "Tee" Boylan and Elvis "tomford" Cavalic joining, coming from ESEA Advanced team Duffle Bag Boys. They have more recently been in action in the DreamHack Open Atlanta open qualifier where they lost 16-12 to Final Feature featuring former Fam143 duo William "shonk" Kittrell and lanhero.

The third member to join is Nash "lenon" Lenon, who's been without a team since finishing 13-16th in the ESEA Advanced Season 28 playoffs with Cerus. All three team members have played in two matches since joining, a 16-13 loss to VAULT and a 16-12 loss to Old Guys Club, meaning the team remains bottom of the pack with a 1-10 record.

The Think Outside the Box roster is now:

  • United States Ahsan "draek" Ismailzadah
  • United States Nash "lenon" Lenon
  • United States Justin "Tee" Boylan
  • Canada Elvis "tomford" Cavalic
  • United States Justin "NEX" McLellan (coach)

With only three members joining, there is still a single spot on the team remaining, which NEX has been occupying in the two previous games. While jaychancE was looked at for a spot on cantwinalan, and played with the team in the DreamHack Open Atlanta open qualifier, the team ultimately decided to go in other directions. It is possible he may return to the fold if more promising options do not arise.

Think Outside the Box have eight games remaining in this ESEA MDL season, with matches against Bravado and ex-Velocity up next.
