FPL Recap - The great purge

Play time in FPL NA is over, as the division will now follow the same operating model as in Europe.

The third week of the October FPL season has come to a close, with Victor "food" Wong reclaiming his rightful spot at the top of the league once more.

Here are the top 20 players from the last week:

19. United States Samuel "SileNt" Portillo 1550
20. United States Josh "oSee" Ohm 1546

Last week saw a strong presence from the South Africans of Bravado, with three members placing in the top twenty, all of them in the money. Also present were several Swole Patrol members past and present, in the forms of Austin "Cooper" Abadir, Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro, and Samuel "SileNt" Portillo. Recent New Zealand transplant Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai also performed well, finishing seventh.

More interesting than the standings, however, are the demotions that followed, setting Reddit alight. The current demotions to FPL-C and players on trial appear to be:

Demoted to FPL-C Trial
  • United States Austin "crashies" Roberts
  • United States Sam "s0m" Oh
  • United States Josh "JoshRT" Lee
  • United States Owen "oBo" Schlatter
  • Canada Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien
  • Canada Alfonso "krZ" Fiorani
  • Canada Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski
  • United States Zack "XotiC" Elshani
  • United States Victor "food" Wong
  • United States Anthony "vanity" Malaspina
  • United States David "Sneaky" Polster

Interestingly, most of these players have top FPL finishes under their belts, with food and oBo in particularly appearing at the top of the leaderboards frequently.

The full standings are available on FACEIT's website.

Down in the lower realm of FPL-C, Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak has once again retained his position as top dog.

Rank Name Points Prize
1. United States Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak 1320 $1,250 + FPL
2. Canada Leighton "vylo" Vieria 1184 $750 + FPL
3. United States AAustiN 1156 $500
4. Maxim "wippie" S. 1152 $250
5. Shakhan "beaverknight" Kadyrbekov 1150 $250

Note: FPL-C prizes are distributed monthly, none of these players have won anything

Aside from 4pack, however, no one else has managed to stay in the top five from last week. Recent FPL-C mainstay Leighton "vylo" Vieria has now climbed up, along with some international representation in the forms of Maxim "wippie" S. and Shakhan "beaverknight" Kadyrbekov. With the recent FPL demotions, we can be sure to see a shake-up in these standings next week.

As with FPL, the current FPL-C leaderboard can be found on the FACEIT website.

no pretty sure faceit mikey and the rest of the retards in FPL have no idea what the fuck they are doing in the NA scene (especially with some of the chatlogs ive seen between the admins/players)

not too surprising considering the two guys 'running' FPL NA are actually straight up dota admins that have no knowledge of the scene, which makes them perceptable to bad/misinformed information given to them by more vocal players (esp people like golden who they're actively sucking up to)

a lot of people will critize rank S and how they ran things (somewhat deserving at times) but nobody can say that Few isnt 509810298321x more knowledgable than the two idiots FPL NA currently have running it

if ur a moveup and u get first picked by golden expect to get kicked within a week rofl

This is pretty ducking stupid imo. Why don't they just let the regions handle it themselves instead of executing faceit admin overdrive mode. Also demoting 2 of the top3 of the previous week is just fucking stupid.
