ECS Week 2 Recap - Liquid sweep two teams to stay on top
The rich get richer in Week 2 of the 6th season of FACEIT's ECS as Liquid continue their reign at the top.
This past week was lucrative once again for Liquid, mimicking their last week's 5-1 performance again for a 10-2 record. They were able to make quick work of Rogue in their 32-9 double header, but faced a bit more of a challenge against eUnited, winning 16-12 on Mirage and 16-13 on Cache. They took their loss 16-14 to Cloud9, but were able to dominate them 16-4 on Inferno in the map prior.
AZIO... *cough* Spacestation continued to be unimpressive, only playing two maps this week against Cloud9 under their new banner. The aftermath of the AZIO experience may have lead to a lack of practice from having no power or bedsheets. The youngsters could only muster five total rounds against the American-Swedish squad on both Inferno and Overpass, with Maikil "Golden" Salim sitting atop the scoreboard across the maps.
With no more events to intervene for Renegades, NRG, and compLexity, the teams will finally get to play a map. This week's matchups of the week are:
