Fam143 round out WESG USA playoffs team list
Following the end of the second WESG USA open qualifier, the point distribution system saw four teams — Whatever It Takes, AZIO (now Spacestation), Fam143, and Red River Rebels — tied with 1 point each.
To break the tie, WorldGaming first ruled out Spacestation and Whatever It Takes, as both teams had earned their single point in the first qualifier. Due to Fam143 and Red River Rebels earning their point in the second qualifier, they were considered the higher ranked teams, as per the WESG USA rulebook.
Down to two teams, Red River Rebels were disqualified from the WESG USA circuit, as it turned out the team was made up of Canadian players. As the last qualified team remaining, Fam143 took up the fourth spot at the WESG USA online playoffs.

The WESG USA playoffs are set to play out on October 20th, with the four teams playing in a double-elimination bracket. The top two teams will proceed to the WESG USA regional finals, where they will join Gorilla Gang and Swole Patrol for a chance at a piece of the $38,000 prize pool and a spot at the WESG 2018 world finals in Chongqing.
