NRG go 3-0 in Kiev; compLexity eliminated
The Kiev CyberSport Arena closed out the North American matches early at StarSeries i-League Season 6 with compLexity crashing out as quickly as possible, NRG making their way to playoffs, and Renegades winning the classic TYLOO/Renegades rivalry match.
The day began with German squad BIG taking compLexity out of the tournament with a 16-8 on Cache. The North Americans jumped to an early 3-0 lead with a pistol round win, and winning the subsequent rounds. Once BIG's economy leveled out for a proper full buy, they would go on to win the next 11 of 12 rounds.
The second half started with promise as compLexity managed to win both pistols on the map, but BIG were able to win the eco round, pushing the lead to 14-5. coL started a small three round comeback, but once Cache got to map point, BIG finished off the North Americans with ease leaving them with a 1-2 record.

The 2-0 round draw saw NRG taking on up-and-coming Danish team Fragsters on Mirage. The map started quite strong for NRG as they took the first eight of nine rounds before the teams swapped three round streaks for an 11-4 half.
Already holding a commanding lead, NRG stole the second half pistol round as well, putting them up 14-4 before Fragsters would get their last round win. A big double kill from Damien "Daps" Steele helped secure map point, and the map closed 16-5. The win now sends Fragsters down to the 2-1 round, and NRG will now be featured in the playoffs.

In the timeless rivalry between Australian Renegades and Chinese TYLOO, it was the Aussies who would take Mirage 16-13. The rivals have now played Mirage against each other three times in 2018, with Renegades taking it each time.
In similar fashion as the previous Mirage matchup during StarSeries Season 4, Renegades were able to take a 5-0 lead early, before TYLOO clawed their way back with six rounds of their own, pushing the map to a 9-6 half once again.
The second half was much more hectic with rounds being won erratically with no sense of streaks being created, leading to a 7-7 half, putting Renegades up 16-13.
