cadiaN looks to be on his way out

Report: cadiaN in talks to replace MSL on North

The Danish player has been in North America since the middle of 2017, and may be on a move back to his home country.

Earlier today, Jarek "DeKay" Lewis from DBLTAP reported that North had approached Casper "cadiaN" Møller to join their team, replacing In-Game-Leader Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen.

cadiaN has been IGL'ing on Rogue since the start of the year, seeing them finish as runners up at the Americas Minor leading to an appearance at the New Challengers Stage of the FACEIT London Major, before finishing with a 1-3 record after being knocked out after a 25-23 loss to North. He also helped guide the team to 7th and 8th place finishes in ESL Pro League Season 7 and ECS Season 5, narrowly missing out on qualifying for the LAN finals.

MSL has had a rollercoaster journey as of late, picking up an MVP Medal at DreamHack Masters Stockholm just over a week before being knocked out in the New Challengers Stage of the Major, and facing being replaced. cadiaN last played on a Danish roster in 2016 as part of Team Preparation, having been replaced on the full Danish SK roster a few months before hand.

With no word on a potential replacement for cadiaN, these changes would see Rogue's roster look as follows:

  • United States Daniel "vice" Kim
  • United States Spencer "Hiko" Martin
  • United States Hunter "SicK" Mims
  • Australia Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland
  • United States Matthew "mCe" Elmore (coach)

cadiaN's journey to North is also reportedly set to be alongside a recall of Nicklas "gade" Gade's loan at OpTic, potentially replacing the currently on-loan Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen. Such a move would leave the North roster as follows:

  • Denmark Philip "aizy" Aistrup
  • Denmark Valdemar "valde" Bjørn
  • Denmark Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye
  • Denmark Casper "cadiaN" Møller
  • Denmark Nicklas "gade" Gade
  • Denmark Alexander "ave" Holdt (coach)

An official announcement regarding cadiaN's future should be expected in the coming days, due to the WESA transfer window slamming shut in five days, on September 27th. Rogue's first match in the ESL Pro League Season 8 will be against Luminosity on October 3rd at 8:25 PM EDT.
