Whatever It Takes bring in btk, PureR

btk makes his return to ESEA.

Whatever It Takes have made changes to their roster in preparation for the upcoming ESEA season, with the team parting ways with Andrew "BooMie" Knight and Carter "Wreakveus" Owens to make way for Bryce "PureR" Lovell and Myke "btk" Kwarteng.

The 18-year-old PureR had previously run with Whatever It Takes at Fragadelphia 12, where he stood in for Shervin "sherv" Akhavan, and stood out as one of the team's strongest fraggers. PureR had also previously played with Jasper "sfX" Ko at the NSG Academy Showcase and the Cougar CS:GO Open, placing second to Vision in the latter event.

btk, on the other hand, returns to ESEA after a four-season break from the league. The seasoned CS player last played on the platform in Season 25, where he had a brief stint with ANTI ECO. Beyond MDL, btk has a long competitive history within CS, dating back to the 1.6 era and the early seasons of Invite.

Whatever It Takes' roster is now:

  • United States Jasper "sfX" Ko
  • United States Josh "ironmaN" Monroe
  • United States Shervin "sherv" Akhavan
  • United States Bryce "PureR" Lovell
  • United States Myke "btk" Kwarteng

Whatever It Takes' new roster will debut in Advanced Season 29, after failing to qualify for MDL with their older roster. While the team were able to take down Vikings in their first round, a close loss to Infamous and a hard loss to Vault booked them another season in the Advanced division.
