No ceremonial funeral for these Vikings

Vikings run aground

After a rocky end to the season, the squad of players look for new destinations.

Vikings, who until now had been competing in ESEA's MDL, have announced their team is no longer. After six seasons as a roster, the team has disbanded and the players are looking for new teams for next season.

The team announced their fold after suffering a 16-7 loss to Really Old People in their final game of the regular season. This left them finishing 18th, meaning they would have to take part in the upcoming 16-team relegation tournament. The team haven't announced if they had opted against having to go through such a gauntlet, however it could be assumed with the players looking for new destinations that they wish to avoid such an event.

Vikings' final weeks in MDL were dogged by roster instability, with Corbin "C0M" Lee leaving after Musa "fisher" Mammadov joined to replace Harim "terrorize" Ismaeil, before the latter player returned to for a couple games at the end of the season.

Vikings' final roster was as follows:

  • United States Julian "hybr1d" Rivera
  • United States Casey "SideStep" Hartzler
  • Canada Bruno "WiGGy" Rabani
  • Canada Musa "fisher" Mammadov
  • Canada Harim "terrorize" Ismaeil
  • United States Chase "Charybdis" Waiyanet
  • United States Joseph "Muenster" Lima (Coach)
