compLexity and NRG go 3-0 to qualify for Americas Minor; Mythic and Armada eliminated
compLexity and NRG are the first two teams to advance from the Americas Minor Closed Qualifier, going 3-0 in their matchups for the best-of-three Swiss system. While the two EPL teams advance to the Americas Minor in London, Mythic and Armada found themselves elminated from the running as they were unable to find a series victory for themselves.
compLexity's final gamut saw them face Ghost on Mirage for the first map, where Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and co. quickly worked their way up to a 10-0 lead before the Joshua "steel" Nissan-less Ghost were able to reply with a round of their own. Ghost tried to keep their hopes alive with two additional rounds in the first half, but compLexity didn't hold off in the second half and closed out the map 16-8.
Train seemed set to be a closer affair as Ghost picked up a 4-0 lead before resetting compLexity's economy on the sixth round, but compLexity quickly stabilized and gave up only one more round in the half to take a firm 9-6 lead. A second half pistol victory almost sealed the deal as the team went up 13-6, and despite Ghost's best efforts the match was closed out by compLexity after they conceded four final rounds.

The other notable matchup of the night saw NRG take down Rogue in three maps to claim a spot at the Minor of their own. Despite going up 9-6 on the first half of Dust2, NRG were unable to close out the map as Rogue fought back on their T side. The map went the way of Spencer "Hiko" Martin and co. after playing through all 30 rounds, with NRG falling short to kick off the series.
The ensuing two maps were a different matter entirely for NRG as a close first half gave way to a quick finish on Overpass, seeing a dominant 9-3 CT half to close out the map thanks to an impressive performance from Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov.
CeRq's performance continued into the final map of Cache, where NRG truly came to life. Rogue found their defenses brutalized as NRG's T side tore apart their site holds, granting Damian "daps" Steele's side a 13-2 half lead. Although a small struggle followed while NRG attempted to close out the map, the team took the map 16-10 in the end.

Luminosity struggled in their first map against boxr, going down 0-4 to start out Dust2. They were able to stabilize and bounce back for an 8-7 first half finish, but seemed set for a struggle as boxr picked up the second pistol round. An eco round win put a halt to boxr's comeback attempt, allowing the Brazilians to take the lead once again and place themselves on the brink of victory for map 1.
The boxr crew attempted to put up a comeback by fighting back to a 14-13 deficit, but the Brazilians showed resolved to close out Dust2 in their favor.
Inferno began with boxr taking the reins, securing the pistol round and ensuing anti-ecos for a 3-0 lead. From here the map was a cakewalk for Luminosity as boxr barely scrounged together one additional round over the next 17, granting Luminosity a 16-4 finish.
