compLexity dismantle Renegades in Sweden

Both North American based teams faced off against each other in Group B at DreamHack Open Summer.

Group B of DreamHack Open Summer commenced play with a battle between Renegades and compLexity, with the two teams facing off on Mirage.

compLexity were the strongest side throughout, Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz being the leading performer with a 1.82 rating. The North Americans opened up on their T-side with a clean five round run before Renegades could send a single round. In fact, it was just one of two rounds they managed to secure in said half with compLexity taking a 12-3 lead.

The second half saw signs of life from Renegades by securing the pistol and two following rounds, but compLexity wrapped it all up in the end to take a 16-5 win.

The win sends compLexity to the Group B winners' match later today, at 1:30pm EDT, where they'll face either Gambit or OpTic for a place in the semifinals. Renegades, on the other hand, are scheduled for a 7am EDT elimination match tomorrow.
