robby steps away from competing; NPAR down to four

The MDL player wants to experience one last summer in full before departing for college.

Robert "robby" Brown of Normal People and Rustun (formerly LFAO) has announced that he will be stepping away from competitive Counter-Strike for the time being.

robby primarily cited no longer having fun playing the game, and having an " inability to stay mentally engaged during practice" which created an unfair situation for his teammates. Additionally, the player intends to spend more time with friends and family this summer before departing for college.

He offered the following words of wisdom to other people who might be in his position:

As a final note and word of advice, if you are young and talented, don't forget to enjoy life on your journey toward making this game your profession.

Normal People and Rustun's roster is now:

  • United States Rustun "Rustun" Lusk
  • United States Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue
  • United States Ethan "paperboy" Lillie
  • United States Donovan "zNf" Froid

With the next season of MDL fast approaching, NPAR will have to find a replacement for the departed player quickly. Hopefully they do not return to their indecisive roster changing ways that we all remember from Season 27.

Sounds like a solid decision to be honest. Too many youngsters are grinding this game like there is no tomorrow. I see too many who let the game affect their emotions too much and it keeps themselves from doing well in other aspects of their lives. Hope he does well in school and perhaps finds a balance later on where he can play and study at the same time.
