ex-Splyce out-muscle Swole Patrol to advance in EPL Relegation
The ex-Splyce roster have defeated Swole Patrol 2-0, keeping the team afloat in the upper bracket as they look to retain their slot in Season 8 of ESL's Pro League. The maps were set to be Nuke, Inferno, and Train, although the first two maps would prove to be enough for ex-Splyce to claim a dominant victory.
Swole Patrol's pick of Nuke began with Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir and co. on the T side, where the MDL team were unable to mount an offense against Davey "DAVEY" Stafford and Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen's CT side hold.
Swole Patrol mustered two rounds after initially going down 0-5, but found themselves locked out for the remainder of the half as ex-Splyce worked their way to a 12-2 lead. The final round of the half granted freakazoid & co. a small respite going into the second half, but the second pistol round also went the way of ex-Splyce and gave the EPL team a commanding first map victory.
Inferno saw similar scenes as Swole Patrol were unable to win consecutive rounds, piecing together a mere three rounds on their CT side in the first half despite winning the pistol round while ex-Splyce worked their way up to 12 once again.
A small comeback attempt began as Swole Patrol also claimed the second pistol round for themselves, and managed to reset ex-Splyce after the first gun round went the way of the EPL team. A force-buy from the ex-Splyce roster quickly shut down Swole Patrol's hopes, and ex-Splyce only gave up three more rounds before Taylor "Drone" Johnson helped the team close out the second map in their favor.

ex-Splyce will face compLexity at 6 AM EDT tomorrow to decide which of the EPL sides will retain their slot for Season 8. The loser of the matchup will have a second opportunity to fight for a slot by taking on the winner of Torqued versus Swole Patrol as the MDL teams look to move up themselves.
