Who else will join the teams in Cologne?

ESL One Cologne 2018 qualifiers announced

The qualification process for one of the pinnacle events in the CS:GO calendar has been announced.

ESL One Cologne 2018's qualifiers have been announced, with the dates for North America set to start next month. With only one spot available to the victor, it's set to be a hard fought competition.

The open qualifier will start on May 2nd, hosted on the ESEA platform, and run until May 3rd. The unlimited slot tournament will be a single elimination best-of-one bracket, right up until the final two games which will be a best-of-three format. From there, the two finalist teams will advance to the closed qualifier.

The closed qualifier is set for three weeks afterwards, on the 24th and 25th of May. It will be a six-slot qualifier, similar to the format used in the ESL One Belo Horizonte qualifier, in a double-elimination best-of-three format. The final of the closed qualifier will be a best-of-five match, with the upper bracket team taking a 1-0 advantage.

Currently five teams are invited to the event, including SK and Cloud9, who line up alongside Fnatic, FaZe and G2. Sign-ups are open now, and are open until two hours before the qualifier begins.
