Dignitas sign shinobi and acquire Snakes as streamer
The newcomers to ESL Pro League have formally signed Josh "shinobi" Abastado after trialing the former player in the coach role for the last two months, sources inform Dust2.us. Alongside the signing of shinobi, Dignitas have also signed Ryan "Snakes" Amann as a streamer, as he is still unable to compete in most premier leagues due to an age restriction.
The acquisition of Snakes will allow Dignitas to add the fifteen-year-old to their roster with ease once he comes of age — he was forced to step down from the team due to EPL's age restriction following their appearance at season 26 of ESEA's Global Challenge. Snakes led the way for the team to secure their slot in ESL Pro League, despite being unable to compete with the squad.
Snakes recently returned to assist Dignitas in the DreamHack Masters Marseille North America qualifier, where the team fell to Torqued 16-4 in their second round matchup. With Dignitas' roster now down to four, it is likely that Snakes will return to the roster for the next season of EPL — should they be able to retain their spot in the league.
In the meantime it seems Dignitas is comfortable fielding different stand-ins in their tournaments after dropping Jack "xCeeD" Holiman, most recently using Armeen "a2z" Toussi to compete in our very own Dust2.us Masters #2 by CSGOPositive.com.
